SYDNEY HYDROPLANE CLUB ...Leon's Album

So much history in these images. Again we delve into Leon's incredible archives from the golden era. These slides were taken at Budgewoi, Lake Munmorah (southern side) in around about 1967/68 where the Sydney Hydroplane Club were conducting time trials. Pictured at top is of course none other than 'Mr. Hydroplane' Ernie Nunn's legendary "WASP" and "WASP TOO" ...amazing photos! Thanks so much to Leon and Family for sharing.

"The Bloody RED BARON" ...Gaz & Jen's Album

Well here she is complete ...The Bloody RED BARON! This is the first Mirage built by the Waldron Family. Regulars will recall seeing her extracted from the moulds in a recent post (Click "Gaz & Jen's" label below). I'm tipping these magic shots were taken on the lovely Gippsland Lakes where the family frequently holidayed ...What a beautiful machine!
