DOC TO DAN

This was the humble beginnings of Dan's beaut little skiff that we took a look at back in our October post's. A great team effort from Doc, Ross, and Dan...onya fellas!

PROP RIDING ON THE CHEAP...Dan's skiff

                                                                                                

This inspirational little skiff shows that with a lot of hard work and a bit of pocket money oneself could be out on the water experiencing the same thrills as powerboat racers of yesteryear...Daniel was very fortunate to have the skills and advice of Dad Ross ("screwit""invader"and the yet to be named lil hot rod skiff) at hand. Starting with a bare fibreglass (stephens???) hull kindly donated by champion Doc Sizzle ("sabre""sabre racing") the gents set to work fabricating all of the necessary hardware that was required themselves in order to keep costs down.Items such as marinising the $300 trading post special 308, those awesome pipes, fuel tank ,fins, cav gear, rudder stock etc were all built in house along with all timber decking, trim, cockpit fit out and the many other little bits and bobs needed.The end result is an absolute hoot to drive with an outlay of little more than $1500...Bloody amazing! Well done fellas.

SCREWIT

Rodder Ross who owns the beautiful skiff INVADER that we seen a few month's back also has this breath taking old girl "SCREWIT".She was previously owned by an uncle and has obviously been quite the labor of love.Power comes from the ever faithful Holden 6.......love it!!!

Obviously a man who doesn't sleep !!! This is Ross' other skiff (don't forget to check out INVADER if you have not already).The solid planked girl is still a virgin but hopefully not for long....Stand by for updates.

This stunning skiff comes from hot rodder Ross who obviously digs his wet rods as well!!!..geez thats a cool boat mate.Be sure to keep us updated on her progress will you...I'd love to put my hand up to attend the relaunch if at all possible too please.Thanks for sharing the pics.
