"The GRADUATE"
A kind thank you to the friendly C.A.W.P.B.A. crew for answering our earlier request seeking info and/or pics of "The GRADUATE" ....champions!
This wild timber flattie measures 18.6 and is powered by an injected 454 Chev. She was built sometime in the mid 70's and was raced through 78-79 by John Wales. No idea of her whereabouts these days but we would love to hear how she is keeping. Thing is awesome!
There is obviously not much the Classic Australian Wooden Power Boat Association don't know about our beautiful Australian timber speedboats, please get in touch with them if you own such a craft. I'm sure you'll find their knowledge, help, and enthusiasm is more than overwhelming >>> http://www.cawpba.com/

the "PEGASUS" album; CAWPBA NARRANDERA 2012 pt1
A big thank you to Pat for kindly sharing with us these great shots taken at the Classic Australian Wooden Power Boat Association annual regatta held in Narrandera a few weeks back. A beautiful display showcasing some of Australia's finest timber speedboats, definitely worth marking on the calendar for next year.

"FIREFLY" & "FIREFLY II"
Ben and Tony painstakingly built this beautiful Glen L Rampage "FIREFLY II" with their own bare hands. She romantically carries the name of Dad's (Tony's) well raced and loved skiff, "FIREFLY". The fella's have sent in some truly amazing old photographs from their collection for us all to enjoy including the lovely "JEANNIE" cruiser, built by Grandad ...the apple never falls far from the tree eh! .. Many more pics to come that will have nostalgic timber fans in a frenzy, be sure to call back in :-)
