READY TO HAMMER
Ron's all set for a crackin season. We took a look at this ripper Juddcraft Hammerhead late last year tipping there'd be some improvements thrown her way before long. Her 350 heart has seen a full rebuild and detail since then. Ron has also rebuilt the dog box and fitted a new skeg bush and log seal to the deserving steed.
You've gotta love the lines of these unique Hammerheads. It's believed Barry Judd set out to create the ultimate cross between a clinker and an SK ...hit the nail right on the head, beautiful boats!
Have a closer look at this green gem >> aussieskiboats.blogspot-juddcraft-hammerhead ...and keep an eye out for a random Hammerhead post soon ;) Cheers for sharing Ron.

BRIAN'S ALBUM; "The EGYPTIAN"
Brian's old insta-matic could barely keep up with 'The EGYPTIAN' in these shots taken from the banks of the Bundaburrah Creek just outside of Forbes NSW where Barry Judd had his factory back in 1977 / 78.
Brian has fond memories of skiing in this area back in the day behind a brothers old Hammond named 'APOLLO' which he would dearly love to locate. Other local boats of friends back then were; 2x Juddcraft's 'WILDFIRE' & 'INSANITY' along with an Everingham called 'MISS TOAD'.Has anyone seen or heard of them ???
Cool pics mate, cheers for sharing. Brian's mint 1600 SO coming up!

JUDDCRAFT HAMMERHEAD
This crackin Juddcraft belongs to Ron and haunts the Hume Weir mostly. This example with its extra high combing around the stern is the last of the three Hammerhead models that Juddy produced during the 70's and is quite rare to see in it's midmount configuration . The backs on these got higher with each model to accommodate the big block engines that the racers had progressed to back in the day. Plans are in place for a slight makeover for this gem so hopefully we'll get to see more of her by the end of summer.
***A polite reminder to all champion aussie ski boaters to please pack the camera on your outing's this season. Show some pride in your raft by making her an ASB poster girl, we're hangin to see your shots :-)

"The EGYPTIAN" (the original); The Twitchin Album
This is a heartfelt plea for anyone that may have any information whatsoever (or better yet photo's) on the history or whereabouts of this historic racer "The EGYPTIAN"....Although very similar she is not to be confused with the other beautiful green "The EGYPTIAN" that we posted some time back that was advertised in a Trading Post link (A big thanks to Juddcraft guru Keith for clearing that up for us).Affectionately known to the Twitchin's as "THE GYPO" ,this '77 Juddcraft Pharoah that they skied their very first Bridge 2 Bridge with, was the beloved boat that changed the family's lives. This is the original "The EGYPTIAN" that was purchased from Barry Judd who campaigned her with a blown big block through the late 70's circuit and even ski racing her (6th outright '79 b2b).She was adorned with a fabulous King Tut mural on the deck and had a spectacular metalflake and hieroglyphics finish performed by the famous Brown Bros. The Twitchin's had numerous class wins with her first powered by a stock 350 and last with a tunnel rammed LS 454 with which she was sold to a friend in '83.Little is known of her after that ,so once again, PLEASE get in contact if you have any pics or info on this special boat so I can put you in touch with Steve. We would also be rapt if anyone would like to share any memories they may have of her in the comments box . ...cheers .......***UPDATE; Whoops,I mistakenly stated her as a Pharoah, very sorry to cause any confusion. She is actually a Juddcraft Egyptian hull which were based on the Whitely Louise J design. The shorter Pharoah hulls originate from the Whitely Tantrum mould. Juddy also produced many of his own designs that we hope to elaborate more on in the future.(cheers Keith)

JUDDCRAFT HISTORY
A sight for sore eyes!!!...Their both gorgeous. These shots are of Barry Judds earliest Pharaoh design and were kindly sent to us by Keith who was involved in the Juddcraft operation at the time situated in McGraths Hill Windsor NSW.Judd built boats in other locations throughout the years including Forbes and also near Taree. Other designs fom Judd included three versions of the Hammerhead, the Mantaray and also a one off two seater hydro. The Pharaoh and Egyptian models were derived from moulds legally sourced from Mick Whiteley before his retirement. The previous Juddcraft Pharaoh post we seen showed the second version which featured the raised bubble deck.A big thanks to Keith for sharing these ripper pics, champion!.Also seen is some more recent shots of this historic Pharaoh when she was last advertised...Enjoy.
