"MOOMBA"

Mick stumbled upon this darling needing a small amount of love whilst up to his ears in the rebuilding of the beautiful "NIFTY II".
"MOOMBA" sports a very cool Y block V8 ford (as fitted to Cusso's etc. ;-)  and is believed to have once been the official tow boat for the Sea World ski shows and also possibly  involved with the Moomba Masters way back in the day. If this interesting history is correct, we are hoping that someone out there must surely have some memories of this lovely lady they could share, or possibly a confirmation on her origins... is she a Lewis ???
Mick is absolutely smitten with "NIFTY II" so sadly "MOOMBA" is on the block. Anyone interested can contact Frosty on our members tiles or I can point you in the right direction myself.

Regulars will recall Mick's timber lady from back in our August archives.Not that long ago, but the transformation in that time is nothing short of amazing ! Mick's late father played a vital roll in this restoration and developed a special liking for the old girl.For this reason she is never to be sold (it's on record now mate). Performance and handling are reported to be superior to all of Mick's many previous boats which is quite a feat.The overall appearance and combination is absolutely first class in my opinion, congratulations on such a wonderful job....***We are still hoping someone out there may recognize her one day, so please don't hesitate to get in touch if you know anything at all about this beautiful lady.... MICK'S TIMBER LADY

Mick's at it again!Regulars will recall some of his previous efforts,She's Nub's,the Filam and that wicked Bullet......."I got another one on the go bit of a mystery actually, it's believed to be a Goldsbrough copy maybe called nifty 2 built near the Hawkesbury somewhere, ring any bells? It's full timber, very well built and has apparently won the bridge to bridge timber class before.

It was a runner when i got it with a cranky 302 in it but unfortunately the keel and 1 board either side were oil rotten so the resto begins ..... here are a few pics maybe someone will be able to help identify the old girl."....... Love your work Mick,keep us posted.

Here's SHE'S NUB'S from the sunshine coast,what a sweetheart!She was completely rebuilt from a bare hull using high quality brass and stainless component's throughout.Fussy skipper Mick left nothing to chance fitting her with a fresh,strong 302 Windsor and spankin trailer.She has a fibreglass hull with a timber deck and is believed to be a Lewis (suspicion's of Everingham can anyone positively confirm)....She's Nub's has recently left Mick's fleet and found a new home.Thank's to all his hard work she now has many more happy day's ahead of her.....me hat's off to you mate,great job.....****Check out Mick's beautiful Filam from a few post's back.Better get in quick if you would like to take her home.
