"SCANDAL"

The BLOWN SILLY gang are at it again with yet another cracker to add to their ever growing fleet. No Whiteley collection could be considered complete without the mega rare F1-11 in the mix so along came "SCANDAL". This controversial hull design was too fast for it's own good which saw them built in very low numbers after ruffling the feathers of fellow competitors ...'is it a displacement or a hydro?' being the common protest.
Can't wait to see this jewel once she's finished, cheers for the pics fellas ;)

***If anyone recalls "SCANDAL" from her younger days please get in touch.

BAD ASS WHITELEY

I'm lovin the bad old bruiser look of  this mean Whiteley. Wayne & Co. love nothing more than just cruising around on the Murray listening to the 350 humming. More pics with a few improvements coming soon ...can't wait!

"SCATTERED"

Mick & Co. have recently added a second Whiteley Craft to their fleet. "SCATTERED" runs a 350 and the 17ft hull is a lot lighter than "BLOWN SILLY" in construction. She came from a farmer in Dubbo who bought her from off the side of the road that runs along the Hawkesbury back in the day. Would be great to hear from anyone that recognizes her and could possibly fill us in on some of her earlier history ...Cracker boat!!! More gold on the way from this album, check out "BLOWN SILLY" for a treat in the meantime >>> aussieskiboats.blogspot-blown-silly-aka-stirrer.
Hey Mick, ...we'd love to see a pic of the two afloat side by side one day if there's any chance ;)

"HOT HEAD"

Finished drooling yet? ...me either! Cheers to Ron for sharing with us this beautiful fogged, paneled, and pinstriped beast which he has owned since new. She's a 1974 Whiteley Tantrum hull built by Mick Whiteley just before he sadly passed away. Original 327 Chev was replaced with 350ci a while back and don't those tunnel rams look the coolest!. The detailing is simply delicious and she has obviously been very well loved and cared for throughout the years. Kudos Ron ...bloody amazing boat!

"BLOWN SILLY" .......aka "STIRRER"

A family heirloom, this wild Whiteley hot rod packing a blown rat is cherished by bro's Mick & Chris. Dad's old girl "STIRRER" was dragged out from under the house after a 15+ year lay off before the fellas performed this stink'n hot rebuild. Unfortunately the original finish could not be retained due to sunlight turning her starboard side pink so the "BLOWN SILLY" guise complete with airbrushing and metal mountain was the order of the day. Traditionalist's need not lose sleep as the fellas plan on returning her to original appearance down the track, it's just that she's still lookin' way too good to repaint.
Bet she's a hairy ride! Best just give 'em a wave out on Lake Moogerah 'cause you wont catch her ;)

the POTTS FAMILY album; WHITELEY F1-11

We only recently mentioned that the Potts Family were on the lookout for another stray and this super rare F1-11 is the result. Dragged home from western Sydney, "it was only a 2812km return trip over 3 days" Malcolm reckons ...that's keen! Hopefully we'll be keeping an eye on her progress.
The Whiteley F1-11 is a rare beast which Mick Whiteley created from his existing and well proven 'Elephant' race hulls by adding those cool tunnels. They were built with small block efficiency in mind although the only examples we know of were all fitted with big blocks, as was this one. Very few were built though, with the extremely quick  "HOMBRE" and "TONIC" being the better known examples. Juddcraft later acquired all these moulds which formed the basis for their famous Pharaoh model although the tunnel moulds were never to be used again unfortunately.
Strictly designed as a race boat we're hoping someone might recognize this F1-11 from her heyday and possibly fill us in on a bit of history.
Thanks for sharing Mal ...don't see these everyday! All the best.

*Thanks also to Keith for enlightening us with plenty of F1-11 info, cheers mate.
