We have a 1985 westmore for sale that is in great condition with new crate motor (350 chev ) about 50 hours if anyone is interested. Boat is located in Adelaide. Only selling as we no longer have access to a property on the river. Husband loves the boat but it unfortunately has to go!
Frank Westmore used to work with Les Ramsay and went out on his own and built his own ski boats as they were ordered in the 80s in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne
Frank was my Grandfather. We’re searching for a boat he built called “stemark” there was only one ever made shown and sold at a boat show in Melbourne. Any info would be appreciated.
I was at that boat show and remember the new haul, I had just bought my new Stage 2 from Frank, it was approximately 1983, I still have my boat , I almost bought the haul also it looked awesome, wish now I had, I would love it as a project in my twilight years, best of luck in your endeavour , I really hope you find it and bring it back into the family, kind regards Peter Gay.
I have recently purchased a westmore, fitting a 350 with a dog clutch in it. Gotta do some paint/gel coat too. Have a question though the transom looks and feels like wood not fibreglass, when I bought it the transom has had fresh paint and looks good but feels rough and like wood. Did the transom on westmore have fibreglass?
