"KAPALA" ALBUM - 1965 Caribbean Lexington

BEFORE

                                                                             AFTER

Great to hear from Ben & Nadia who've been quite busy restoring this beautiful old Caribbean found rotting away in a paddock. The Lexington is based on an American Dorsett hull and although very similar to (and often confused with) the popular Caribbean Crosby, this model has an extra four inches in length amongst other features. Power comes from the original 90hp Johnson which runs very smooth after sourcing a few parts from the states.
The end result is quite the head turner and looks fantastic beside their beautiful filam "KAPALA" according to all reports.

  1. Hi is there any of those boats still getting around in Australia as I've just gotten my hands on one of them a 62 model Lexington

  2. Hi, would be interested in knowing a bit more about this boat. My grandparents had one exactly the same except without the hard top canopy (same colour and outboard)... I fear it suffered the same fate of ending up in a paddock rotting away (most likely on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia somewhere...). Feel free to drop me an email!
