Finally caught Luke paying some attention to "Greenback" on a late night visit recently. With "Woodworx" out for the season the rush is on. Rat boat is the theme but close to original as she's kinda like a bit of local heritage on their stretch of Murray ...get ya wriggle on boy!!!

"ALANA" ...Luke's Album

fit as a fiddle!

This beautiful Skicraft Deluxe "ALANA" was the first of many for Aussie skiboat champion Claude (Luke & Matt's ol' man). A Holden 186 provided endless enjoyment for family and friends for many years mostly out on Eppalock and Mulwala until she was sold to fund "PUNJARRA"(which has recently been found) back in about 1983/84. The family remain close friends with the careful owners of Claude's other previous rides, "MUDDA" and "SCREWLOOSE" leaving Alana the only boat we don't know the whereabouts of unfortunately, can you help?
That ripper little LJ XU1 in these pics was amazingly the families main mode of transport right up until 1994. The little Torrie towed all of these boats over the years and not surprisingly ended up stretched and rusted!

MYSTIC MEMORIES

How cool is this combo from back in the day! There's always a hint of sadness in Luke's voice whenever we talk about his beloved old MYSTIC. Hot little 6cyl Seacraft is in the hands of a close friend these days although some of us are hoping she returns home one day. Yes, old habits are hard to break, Luke's still out in the shed tooling away on woodies and State-O's ...a man possessed!

Fortunately this Merlin Sabre has found herself in amongst some very capable hands. Claude, Luke, and Matt have some great plans in store for this old girl, a resto which ASB will be following closely. The fellas have had their eyes on her for quite some time. The previous owner's use in the one area for 25 odd years saw her become somewhat a local identity. This chap originally purchased her secondhand as a bare hull and trailer from the Bendigo region where she raced locally powered by a sidevalve Ford V8 in her heyday.
Be sure to call back in to check on her progress through 2013, I'm sure she'll come up a treat.
