A long time hero of mine.It saddens me that most non boating friends are unaware of this great Australians achievements and the fact that,thanks to Ken Warby,we can claim to be the fastest nation on water.Amazing that his record of 317.60mph (511.13kph) set at Blowering Dam on Oct 8 '78 still stands,even more amazing that he did it in a plywood boat that he designed and slapped together himself in the backyard...What a bloody legend !!!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Warby
