How she sits today

Mark's beautiful Filam was once my late fathers boat that we had for many, many years.I was quite stunned when I stumbled across Mark's youtube clip late one night a while back and did get a little emotional.The old girl was getting a bit run down towards the end when I last saw her so Mark deserves a big pat on the back for all the hard work he has put into her.Cant thank him enough for sending me these pics of the old girl when he first got her showing that old timey look how I remember her.I admit to not liking the paint scheme as a young bloke but now think she oozed oldschool charm and love the way she was.All just memories now and can only hope she brings Mark and family the same enjoyment.Would also like to note that finding/seeing this boat again somehow gave me the inspiration to help form the Filam boats register and also this blog..Thanks again mate.

Another stunning ski boat from Mark's family album...GUNNA a Firebird was built by his Dad from a stage1 hull and looks absolutely gorgeous!

nostalgia: SHARPE PACKAGE

This cracker combo was featured in Custom Rodder way back in '74 and was owned by a Mr John Sharpe of Sandringham Vic.Not many details on the old girl other than that she was powered by a 289 Studebaker as is in the '63 Grand Turismo.

HUSTLER...Surely one of the classiest (sexiest) boats you will ever lay your eyes on..Marz and Tony are the lucky custodians of this sweetheart,a big thanks to them for kindly sharing with us.Thanks must also go their way  for bringing her home to Melbourne,for in her former life she was none other then the famous MANDY  ...THE lady of the lake...,possibly the most successful,well known and loved boat that stormed around Albert Park Lake in the golden years.The last of her racing life was spent in Sydney were she became the HUSTLER ...A slice of history,what a boat!!!..............................................thanks must also go to the Doc and Phil for helping with this post,cheers fellas.

Geez we've had some great boats so far,thanks everyone...Got some rippers in store too!... Please, please, please keep sending them in skippers...Also hope to revisit some of these past feature boats down the track if fresh pics or mods surface.Hope everyone is enjoying these boats as much as me.
